We’ve known we are getting married to each other for years now. More than once he has asked me (sort of), and we’ve talked about it (way too much), so it wasn’t exactly a shocker when I became obsessed with weddings. (I tend to get obsessed with things.)
Last spring I somehow (cough*searching for diamonds*cough) ran across Weddingbee, and spent the next couple of days reading about proposals, paper flowers, and wedding shoes (it’s just a website, just looking). I internet-window-shopped for wedding dresses (I’m just fascinated by the subject). Next I started looking at photographers’ Facebook pages (looking at actual vendors—mild obsession), and then I started looking at venues in my area (still a mild obsession…oh no,装置教程援用星月飞雪帖子, I asked for quotes!—officially OBSESSED). And then…I just stopped.

What was I thinking? I had always talked about a 2013 wedding, but this is 2011. I was way ahead of schedule. So I stopped, just stopped looking at anything wedding related. Who knew Facebook had a different plan?
A couple weeks later Mr. T told me his Facebook was advertising engagement rings (are.you.kidding me?). When he typed the first letter of my name on the search bar, at least three different e-ring companies appeared as suggestions. (C…Compromiso=engagement in Spanish—seriously, Facebook?) I’m not kidding you, I logged in to his account and tried it—it was true! Was Facebook trying to say something to us? We had a good laugh and that was it.
About a month later I made up my mind (or lost it, depending on how you see it): “I don’t need a wedding—let’s just go to the city hall and get married.”? Well, it didn’t turn out as I expected and I’m glad. Mr. T looked me in the eye and asked me to think about it: if 10 years from now I wouldn’t regret not having a wedding, we’ll go to the city hall next weekend and get married. Apparently you could tell miles away I was into weddings (shocker!).

The very next day he started doing some math and told me to make an appointment to look at some venues so we could book one for December 2012. (What,白姐统一图库 图片!!) That marked the official start of our wedding planning. I was thrilled! I was so happy I couldn’t believe it. We were actually getting married! I thought that was it—turns out he had a different plan…Tags: obregon-mexicoproposal BLOGGER Mrs. Toadstool Location: Obregon, Mexico Occupation: Research Assistant Wedding Date: December 2012 Venue: Hacienda los Agaves --> PREVIOUS POSTAdd Color to Your Wedding with Jadetime.com!
